Born in the hills of west virginia hunting and filming is my passion. From a youth to the present day I awaken wanting to enjoy the great outdoors,by either farming,scouting,hiking,fishing,camping,4-wheeling,or filming.I'm now also editing the tv shows and that's a job in itself but something I really enjoy. The outdoors is my life and I enjoy sharing it with others, by filming the hunt or guiding them.I've had the oppurtunity to film Roger Raglin on The Outdoor Channel for 4 years and seen the world and been apart of 4 Golden Moose awards with him. This exsperience allows me to share it with others and better DSO as a whole.Brother Sam and I are really close and have alot in common and always listen to one another, thats very rare, and priceless to me.Looking forward to the future and all the plans to better DSO and I'll see you in the the woods.
As the founder of Dual Shot Outdoors, I am proud to be involved with a group of individuals who are passionate about hunting and committed to responsible wildlife and land management.
I grew up in southern West Virginia and am a lifelong resident of Mercer County. The nickname “Charger” fits me very well, as I am usually wide open and ready for anything.
My father, Otis Grayson Wiley, Sr., introduced me to hunting and fishing at a very young age. When I lost my father I was 10 years old, my Uncle Jimmy and Mr. Damon Lilly stepped into my life and helped me continue my love for the outdoors. These two men guided me very well during these critical years.
My passion for turkey hunting started at around age 12 when I called up and harvested my very first tom using a medicine bottle call. He had an 8½” beard and weighed 18 pounds. Since then, turkey hunting has had a place in my heart that can never be taken away.
At about the age of 16, I picked up my first bow and arrow, a Bear-Whitetail II that I had saved for all summer. It was with this bow that I harvested my first whitetail deer, a spike buck. I’ve never put the bow down since and probably never will.
I’ve been asked which I like better - turkey hunting or deer hunting. My answer is always the same: “They are totally different types of hunts and you can’t compare them. I love them both.
Now that I have a family of my own, I have gained another passion. Sharing the great outdoors with my children. Of course, I was very concerned for their safety, and decided that hunting on private land would allow me more control of their environment. This meant working hard to gain the trust and respect of farmers to gain access to their property. It also meant working a lot of weekends helping them out on their land! Since them days I've been blessed enough to purchase my own land along with sam so we can better our own property for everyone to enjoy.
Being an avid outdoorsman is such a big part of my life and I want to be able to give something back to others who share my enthusiasm. Dual Shot Outdoors does just that.
